Wet rooms are the latest trend in
bathroom design, they are visually stunning and enormously practical.
The wet room includes an open shower area which flows into the rest of
the room, thus making them suitable for both small and large rooms,
giving an illusion of space through their open plan nature. There are endless
possibilities in size and shape; from square, circular or even spiral enclosures.
Some points to consider:
Your entire bathroom will need to be made water tight, this is
known as "tanking" and should only be carried out by a
professional.
The room will need to be structurally sound to be able to take the
weight of all the material and products.
Ventilation is important to allow the room to dry out.
By using only the highest quality products you can ensure your
fittings will have an extended life and leak-free operation.
Floor tiles are also worth careful consideration, non-slip tiles
are a must.
Wet rooms look
fantastic, but it is imperative they are fitted correctly to ensure they
are fully water tight. Due to the work involved it is not really an
